As Soon as Possible 

Create a GTPE account. Please go to https://pe.gatech.edu/user/register to sign up. Registration for PDO courses is done via the student's GTPE account. You must use your full legal name and date of birth when registering for an account at Georgia Tech. This will help us match your standard test scores and your transcripts etc. to your student record. It will also facilitate the transfer of your PDO course credits to your degree program later. Please note that PDO students will not be able to activate GT email addresses.

Complete the form of student information collection. For administrative, statistical, and emergency contact purposes, students who decide to matriculate will receive an email to collect their personal information. Your personal data will be accessed only by our employees or contractors who are authorized to do so.

Submit your housing application. You will receive an email requesting your housing application, please reply in a timely manner.

Mid- Dec

Attend the online welcome session. You will be invited to attend an online welcome session that includes information on the check-in process, roommate matching, and tips for studying and living in Shenzhen, etc.

Jan. 14, 4 p.m. (Atlanta Time)

Register for classes. Please read the instructions listed here (https://www.shenzhen.gatech.edu/gt-shenzhen-pdo-course-list/) for course listings for PDO students, Canvas instructions, and FAQs to set up your Dashboard for course content, etc.

Here are two options to register for classes：

Option 1: Please fill in this form(link: jinshuju.net/f/s7A0jU) and re-fill it when you have course changes.

Option 2: Please email academic@gtsi.edu.cn with your course selection by sending the Non-Credit Course Agreement Form, and we will advise you on the next steps regarding course registration.

*ECE PDO students can take courses other than ECE courses. ENVE PDO students can ONLY take CEE courses.

**Georgia Tech courses are not easy, we highly encourage you to take no more than one course so you will have sufficient time to prepare for English proficiency tests, such as TOEFL.

Get connected. We will invite you to the official GTSI graduate student WeChat group.

Complete the form of arrival information collection. You will receive an email requesting your trip to Shenzhen, China, please reply in a timely manner. 

Jan. 4- Jan. 5

Complete the student check-in process. You will physically go to campus and complete the check-in process per the instruction we will email to you. Please note that the first day of classes is Jan 8.

The First Week of the Spring Semester

Attend orientation sessions. Upon arriving on campus, you are required to attend the GTSI General Orientation. Also, your program may also hold an orientation that you are required to attend.

Jan. 14, 4 p.m. (Atlanta Time))

Tuition payment and last day for schedule changes. If you email the course selection to GT-Shenzhen and receive the registration link(s), you can pay for the course(s).

However, please refrain from making payments until you sit in on several courses and reach your final course selection. Registration ends and payments are due by Aug. 28, 4 p.m., Atlanta time. Please email GT-Shenzhen (gtshenzhen@ece.gatech.edu) when the payment is completed.
